This year’s Bake Sale will include delicious cakes and baked goods donated by our friends and from our favourite shops around Melbourne, as well as giving you the chance to win some amazing prizes by entering our baking competitions.
This year all proceeds are going directly towards our Winter Lambing rescue campaign.
Cakes and Bakes will be available from 10am-6pm. We don’t have an endless supply of goods so get in quick!
Location, location, location! You’ll find us at the Cruelty Free Shop (click to view on Google Maps). They have just moved into a huge new space so get down and check it out @124 Johnston St, Fitzroy.
Bring a plastic container with you. We’ll have bio-plates available but let’s save some trees too!
Bring your friends! Cakes are made for sharing and this is a perfect opportunity to share a fun and delish vegan experience with your loved ones.
Entry is free so help us raise more funds for the animals. Goods will be reasonably priced but please consider giving generously to help us save lives this winter. EFTPOS will be available.

There are two competitions to choose from:
Do you have the skills to make it Vegan?
For a long time we vegans have been claiming that we can veganize anything, but is it true?
This year we want you to show us your skills and veganise some of our pre-vegan biscuit favourites for the chance to win an amazing prize brought to you by The Cruelty Free Shop.
So what do you have to do?
It is super easy; all you have to do is try to veganise one of the following biscuits:
Present to us your veganised goods on the day (or day before) and fill out the form below to officially enter the competition. Make sure you comply with the rules.
Veganising not your thing?
No worries, we have an open “Best in Baked/Unbaked” competition for those who want to show us their finest baking/unbaking.
You may enter anything you like as long as it is a baked good. We are looking for something super tasty, beautifully presented with a smidge of creativity! There will only be one winner in this category so make sure you bring your best in order to win an amazing prize pack from Animal Liberation Victoria.
As above, please present to us your goods on the day (or day before) and fill out the form below to officially enter the competition. Make sure you comply with the rules.
This year we have two categories of competition: Veganise This and Best in Baked/Unbaked (see above).
To register simply bring along your baked goods and completed entry form.
Entries should arrive at the Cruelty Free Shop before 10am on the 22nd. Or if you cannot make it by then email us to arrange prior delivery on Friday 21st at the ALV office.

All competition entrants and people donating food for sale will be asked to sign a form confirming that all ingredients are vegan.
Please also bring two printed copies that list all ingredients used so that we can advise people of any allergens.
If you clearly label your plate, you can pick it up at the end of the day or from the ALV office on another day. Otherwise, we encourage you to put your entry on a recyclable plate/tray or on a plate that you are happy to leave behind.
Entries will be judged on:
