Kind Alternatives to Goat Milk Products

Goats milk products kill baby goats. Here are some products you can use to ensure you're not paying for violence.

If you haven’t already seen our world-first campaign exposing blunt force trauma killing of male newborn goats in the dairy industry, you can watch it now.

If we want to see the end of the slaughter of baby goats, their mothers and all animals, we must choose products that are free from animal ingredients, including goat’s milk.

Goats milk is often referred to as ‘caprae lac’ in cosmetics, so it’s important to watch out for this ingredient.

Here are some simple switches you can make, now:

Vegan Marinated Feta

The above are both Australian products, except one involves the slaughter of baby animals, and one does not. The goat’s cheese sells for $20, while the vegan cheese from Botanical Cuisine sells for around $16 depending on where you buy it, and is made from macadamia nuts.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Feta

Both of these feta cheeses are available at major Australian supermarkets, but one of them is free of animal exploitation, and costs only $1 more.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Soap Bars

There are thousands of vegan soap bars. The soap on the right is from Right Soap and is vegan and unscented. The soap on the left is unscented and made from similar ingredients, but with goats milk added. This is unnecessary.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Ashed Chèvre

You can even get the fanciest cheeses vegan, without the cruelty to goats! The Vegan Dairy is another Australian business creating cruelty-free alternatives to traditionally animal-based products.

Vegan Body Lotion and Moisturiser

There are plenty of vegan body lotions and moisturisers (both body and facial), and Sukin is one of the brands that creates them, which is widely available in supermarkets, chemists and online.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Shaving Cream

There are plenty of vegan shaving creams that are free from animal testing, unlike the one on the left which unnecessarily contains goat’s milk.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Baby Milk Formula

The only milk from a living being a human baby needs, is human milk. Just like the only milk a baby goat needs, is goat milk.

In circumstances where formula is something a parent wants or needs for their baby, there are plenty of vegan options that are healthy for human babies and which don’t harm animal babies.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Hand Wash

There are plenty of excellent and accessible hand washes that are vegan, including this from Koala Eco.

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Milk

Don’t drink goat milk, drink oat milk!

Just some of the available options:

Vegan Halloumi

There are plenty of vegan alternatives to halloumi which is traditionally made of goat and sheep milk, and they’re delicious!
