Photo Competition

Calling all amateur photographers! Win a chance for your animal rights related photos to be displayed at the upcoming Spring Vegan Festival, and be in the running for the People's Choice prize.

We have 10 spaces available for budding photographers to have their work framed and displayed to thousands of festival attendees. You will also have the option to have your images for sale on the day.

Pick your best animal or activism-related images and send them to us.

An album of selected images will then be posted in a Facebook album where the final 10 images will be selected by the public.

How to enter

  • Email your low res images (roughly 1000 pixels wide) to noah@alv.org.au by Wednesday 4 October. High res print-quality versions must be supplied if your image is selected to be displayed at the Spring Vegan Festival.
  • Entries must be accompanied by the entrant’s name and a title and short description of each image.
  • Entries will be shortlisted by Animal Liberation Victoria and an album of finalists will be posted on the Animal Liberation Victoria facebook page to be voted on.

Terms and conditions

  • All entrants must be vegan.
  • Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Entries must be emailed to noah@alv.org.au by midnight on Wednesday 4 October 2017.
  • If your image is selected to be displayed at the Spring Vegan Festival you must supply a high res version of your image no later than 15 October 2017.
  • If your image is selected to be displayed at the Spring Vegan Festival, Animal Liberation Victoria will be responsible for printing and framing the image.
    The sale price will be negotiated with the entrant. Reimbursement for printing and framing plus a 15% commission will be retained from any sales made by Animal Liberation Victoria.
    Any unsold prints will be retained by Animal Liberation Victoria for future use, however the entrant will have the option to purchase the print of their entry and frame at cost price.
  • Copyright of all images submitted to the competition remains with the entrant. However the entrant grants licence to Animal Liberation Victoria to feature any or all submitted images in any of their publications, website and any promotional material connected to this competition.
  • The People’s Choice prize will be voted on at the Spring Vegan Festival on 28 October 2017 and the winner will be announced on the day.
