Cup favorite Admire Rakti dropped dead in his stall shortly after today’s Melbourne Cup.
This cruel industry must END. The vast majority of horses bred for racing become ‘waste products’. A bullet to the head and a trip to the dog food factory is the fate for thousands of horses who never see a race, or who don’t earn enough money for their ‘owners’, or whose bodies can no longer cope with the physical demands of this shameful practice.
